About Shanne

Shanne is a female Dutch elite track sprinter with huge Olympic ambitions.

In 2011 she decided to switch from the road to the track and since that moment she made an impressive progression. She has won several titels at the European and Dutch Championships.

She graduated her Bachelor of Commerce in 2012 and in 2013 she started her Pre-Master of Marketing next to her sports career.

In 2015 she won a Silver medal at the World Championships in St. Quentin en Yvelines. Later that year she suffered a heart attack during a race in Colorado (USA).

After her recovery she trained for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. She went to Rio as a team substitute. There she got the extra motivation to continue her strive for Olympic success in Tokyo 2020.
